BANGKOK, 29 March, 2010 – “Accor Race to Survive Phuket 2010” participants completed the challenging event and returned home today after exceeding expectations in raising over US$206,000 to benefit the Yim Kids Foundation, Accor’s registered foundation in Thailand.
Phuket, March 25, 2010 – Accor Race to Survive Phuket 2010 participants got a lesson in rural Thai lifestyle after the race programme Wednesday night. It started with a fresh seafood dinner caught by local Koh Lon fisherman where the menu featured whole fish, Tom Yam Soup and over 200 fresh crabs to name just a few of the dishes.
PHUKET, 24 March, 2010 –The Accor Race to Survive Phuket participants threw their heart and soul into the event, creating drama and humour in equal doses during the first three action packed days.
Racers got an early wake up call Tuesday morning for day two of “Accor Race to Survive Phuket 2010”. It came in the form of a saxophone solo wafting over Nai Harn Lake at 3am in the morning.
PHUKET, 22 March, 2010 Accor employees hit the ground running today in 36 degree heat, on the challenging first day of the ‘Accor Race to Survive Phuket 2010’. They attacked the course with the same verve and passion used to help raise money for Yim Kids Thailand – a foundation established by Accor to help provide for underprivileged children in Thailand.
All participants arrived safe and sound in Phuket on Sunday, marking the beginning of the Accor Race to Survive Phuket 2010. Warm welcomes greeted them at the Mercure Phuket Patong from the hotel team and ushered them straight into a safety and event briefing, followed by a dinner at the hotel where “carbo loading” was the order of the day.
